Privacy Policy
Version 1.0
What we collect
Account: name, email, and (optionally) phone, city, and school. Age category (14–17 or 18+) — not your exact age or birth date. Volunteer activity: interests, saved opportunities, service hours you log, and reflections you write. Communications: messages you send us. Technical: standard server/access logs.
What we don't collect
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 14. If you are under 14 and created an account, we will remove it. We do not sell personal information.
How we use it
To operate the platform: match volunteers with opportunities, log and display service hours, notify organizations when someone signs up, and send account emails. Aggregated, non-identifying statistics may be shown on the site (for example, "total service hours logged this month").
Who sees your information
Your profile is private by default. You choose which fields (name, interests, hours summary) to make public. Email, phone, and street address are never displayed publicly. Organizations you sign up with can see the details you share on the signup form. Admins can see account information for moderation and support.
Where data is stored
Data is stored in a managed database (Supabase, on Amazon Web Services infrastructure). It is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Access is limited to the account owner, admins, and organizations you interact with.
Your choices
You can update your profile privacy at any time, download a report of your logged hours, and request account deletion from your account settings.
Changes
When this policy is updated, we'll ask you to review and re-accept before continuing to use the platform.
