Terms of Service
Version 1.0
1. Who can use Community Connect
You must be at least 14 years old to create an account. Volunteers ages 14–17 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian and must complete our Youth Safety acknowledgment. Organizations must be legally registered entities and complete our approval process.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials safe and for activity on your account. Provide accurate information at signup and keep it up to date. Impersonating another person or organization is prohibited.
3. Acceptable use
Do not use the platform to harass, threaten, or endanger any person; post false or misleading opportunity listings; solicit personal contact details from minors; collect data outside the platform; or violate any law. Organizations must honor the commitments they make in their listings.
4. Service hours & verification
Volunteers may log service hours for personal records, school, and scholarship submissions. Verification status is set by the sponsoring organization or supervisor. Community Connect does not certify hours on behalf of any third party.
5. Content you submit
You keep ownership of the content you submit. You grant Community Connect a limited license to display, store, and process it as needed to operate the platform.
6. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms, endanger others, or misuse the platform. You may request account deletion at any time from your account settings.
7. No warranty
The platform is provided "as is." Community Connect does not guarantee that opportunities will meet expectations, that hours will be certified, or that any particular outcome will result from participation.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we will require you to re-accept before continuing to use the platform. Continued use after acceptance means you agree to the updated terms.
